I have owned this product for 2 months so I will try and update it after a year of using it.
This is an Australian made product if that matters to you, can't confirm where the materials are sourced from but the built quality seems pretty nice.

The edges are not sharp and dangerous to me and doesn't pose any more risk to a chicken than usual. I specifically got this style of lid that opens inwards to avoid any accidents that may compress a chicken's neck.

I know rats come and sniff around in my coop but I have not seen any trace of rats getting into this feeder.

It's been about a year, no damage. I haven't noticed any food theft. The outside does get dirty but no rust or anything. The inside is completely dry although because of the opening, the food there is the most exposed to ambient moisture so it might make some of the powdered feed to clump up. If you use pellets, the grill that's provided stops the chickens from raking food out but with pellets it doesnt agitate enough that the food becomes that accessible through the grill. If you take the grill out, the chickens will rake the food out easily. You probably have to modify the grill so the chickens can reach in enough to agitate more food down but not rake it out.
