This raises a red flag for me. It sounds like a vitamin deficiency which will result in twisted neck or crook neck or wry neck (has many names) as well as the weakness you described. I don't believe any one feed supplies all that they need. If she is eating only a wet mash she's missing out...
Was she injured that you know of? She sounds awfully weak. I always use crushed up B vitamins and feed scrambled egg or even raw egg yolk to sick/weak birds. I'll crush up a B or B Complex or B12 and mix with their water. Just depends on whether or not they are still eating on their own.
Hi, long time no speak. Yes, I'm still here on the farm but I mostly update on FaceBook where I have a "Bethel Farms" page. Come visit me there and I have lots of photos:

It's been a couple of years since I last updated my Journey thread. I've been working my farm, raising lots of animals, and we're open for tours (by appointment) so life has been busy. I'm also on FaceBook as "Bethel Farms" so I haven't been on BYC with farm updates but I have lots of daily...
Hi Everyone - I haven't been on BYC in many, many months but I'm back and offering Buff Laced Polish Hatching Eggs for sale. $35 per dozen plus $15 for s/h. I take PayPal at [email protected] I have no waiting list as of now and they are laying plentifully after taking a long winter...
Very pretty girl and nice looking rooster you posted a few pages back. Are they from my eggs? The roos change in color a bit as they age so you won't really know what he will look like till he's grown. The girls pretty much stay the same. She's a beauty.
Hi Annie - I've submitted your refund. I'm sorry I'm so late responding. I'm not on BYC much since I have waiting lists for all of my breeds. It's been a busy week here on the farm. It was the 4th of July and we had a family reunion planned for here. A national magazine is coming to take...
Some are pure English and some are mixed with large American "type" birds. I have birds from Joy, Julie, Sandy, and Korfus Kluckers in the breeding pen.
Thank you for the kind note. It was years ago that I started on this journey and began this thread. As I read back over it I remember times of joy and laughter and times of saddness and tears. It's been quite a journey. We came to this place and began our farm with 13 chickens, 3 cats and 2...
Awww - she's very pretty. Are the boys blue? This is the first year to get the splash. I've recently hatched my first splash offspring here that will reside here. This is several generations into my "project" of Olive Eggers which began with one lone blue Ameraucana who lived in my Marans pen...
I have one like that and it will hold a lot of heavy eggs. I also use it in my garden when digging potatoes and/or carrying in heavy produce. Many uses for those antique egg baskets.
I'm glad you are happy with your eggs and that they all arrived in one piece. Also, thanks for the free publicity. We can use all that we can get. I try to ship the speckled eggs since that's what everyone seems to like most. But they also lay a dark, solid egg with little to no speckles...
Hi Lance - I'm sorry for the delay in responding. I haven't been on BYC much lately. It's just so busy here on the farm. I do have eggs available first thing next week. Maybe not on Monday but at least by Wed.
