    First time raising Cornish crosses and my middle DD ( my partner in this project ) and I decided we’d process a few as Game Hens last Thursday. It went fairly well over all, we hand plucked them. I’ve had them resting in the fridge, now in a brine and putting them on the rotisserie tonight.

    I had wondered that, but I’ve raised all my layers on pine shavings and have never dealt with this before. This is my first batch of meat birds, I just want them to be healthy.

    They are in my gym in an unheated cottage. A baseboard heater would warm the room up, but probably not enough to go with out the heat lights.
