This hen, in particular, is a year old - is established in the flock and has been here from the beginning. We've always had one rooster - and she has always been a "favorite."
Why, suddenly, has she gone nutty?! We do have a recently matured cockerel (who will be culled soon, just waiting for...
Here they are at 12-13 weeks now / the two that have me waffling. Saddle feathers are white and hard to see! (I know they're just developing, but two have noticeably pointed ones now.)
I've gotten mixed opinions and am just looking to be sure! Thanks so much!

They're still young and I'm no expert..! But from the whole idea that CMs can typically be sexed by color - I do see a notable difference in that last chick pictured. You know I'm in the same boat..! My four have me super stumped.
That's what I thought! We have two and two like that - the ones that are larger though, with bigger combs (though not very pink ones) are the ones with darker coloring. The two with light barring are smaller and have less of a comb.
I suppose I'll know better in a few weeks!
Okay, I'm stumped! Help a girl out? The dark ones have pronounced combs and are bigger - whereas the lighter ones look pullet-y and smaller. I know in this breed it should be the opposite? If it helps a they are 7 weeks old and as day old chicks they were all dark and the same color.

...are OK. Thought he was for sure a cockerel but his feathering/tail are starting to look pullet-y to me? I'm no expert! Would love your thoughts.
*mama could be my white australorp or a white mixed breed.
Chick 4, as I call it!
*mama is proooobably my SLW, otherwise I have RI reds...
I'm so relieved the EEs look to be pullets! I bought them sexed but you never know.. They ARE pretty! Caramel reminds me of a salmon favorelle and I am so excited for (hopefully!) green eggs!
Here's a better picture of "Rex" from the side, but he's sitting down. He's the best at hiding and...
...10 weeks old and I have to think of rehoming some Roos! I'd hate to give away a pullet by mistake.
Aside from EE all have Brahma for father. *
"Caramel" -EE
"Rex" - Thought from day 1 a Roo, but it's turning out to look hen-ish?
"Spring" - SS/brahma/Wyandotte roots

...about EE sexing! I know you can have an idea by coloring and combs - but i have zero experience with this (not) breed and I'd love some help!
**Theyre six weeks old! Apologies for bad photos, they're fast and hen-raised so they don't trust me fully yet!
1. The one concerning me most - was...
...have the typical "rooster posture".
2. This one also stands differently than my other little ones (who are pretty blaringly obvious Roos in my opinion!)
*(Others - for photo reference!)
any thoughts are helpful! I'm posting my four Easter Eggers separately bc it's pic-heavy. ;) Thank you!
Thanks for your input! Unfortunately I'm pretty in the dark about the rooster's parentage. This is him!
I'll keep my fingers crossed and I won't give up! I just love hatching. It's such a great experience.
Okay! I've come to accept that I just have bad luck - last round it was 5/6 Roos and now In faaaairly sure I've got 4/5! It's all good. Help me determine?
Father is Brahma/Wyandotte cross. Mamas could be - RI red, SLW, Speckled Sussex, Australorps.
First up is who I am fairly certain is the...
