how old are your EEs? About when did you see the green tail feathers?
They are both 6 weeks. The pink comb and beetle sheen just started in the last week or so.

Looks kinda like a cockerel, and I'll tell you why and you can judge for yourself whether you think I'm right or not. Although the comb is small and not red, the legs are large and the feathering suggests a cockerel. The wing feathers are long, and the feather pattern looks to me like a rooster's. However, don't take that as fact; I may very well be wrong. This is a bit of a tough nut to crack!
Chick 5 is a pullet. 2 through 4 look like cockerels. Need a better photo of chick #1 without hands in the way.
Quote: I agree with you. Need to wait another week or two or get a good close up of the comb.

Females can have iridescent feathers too. It is not restricted to males, although they tend to get more, but not always a reliable way to sex a bird.
Big red comb and red wattles, cockerel.
Oh, that's a big relief to hear! :-D Thanks! They look like pullets to me.
#1 is definitely a cockerel with that patchy coloring and pink comb. Here's Number 1 again. These are more updated pictures. They're about 6 weeks old now. Chick #2 can also be seen here.![]()
