You don't have to have a permanent 'out side space' - I don't have a permanent fence per-say. I have one of those temporary netting fences that can be electrified - I don't because I am too lazy. I have it up to keep them from roaming up to the house.
I only have them outside when I am home...

Dogs are a menace for sure, my neighbours are trained to know I send all dogs on my property to the SPCA, and I do not tell them their dogs have gone to doggie jail.

Yep - it’s a huge water bowl for a large dog, I dump it out nightly and clean it, next morning fresh water - both the bowls.
I found they prefer the bowls to the waterers and wouldn’t use the waterers if I had them available.

Had rain go theough and dropped the temp from 33c to 24c in less than an hr!
High for today was 36C and super humid. Poor horses were just soaked with sweat. Much cooler now thankfully but still humid. The mosquitoes will be fun!
