We bought these two as Cochin bantams, but they look a little different from the other cochins we have. They are 6 or 7 weeks old. Just wanted your opinions. I think I have one pullet and one roo. Am I right? Thanks!
I think this one might be a pullet?
I think this one is a roo?

Ok, so I went an counted her toes. She has 4 on her right foot and 5 on her left foot!!!! So, I guess she is literally half silkie. Anyone ever seen this happen?

Thanks! You know that is possible. I did buy my silkies from the same breeder. He had separate breeder pens for them all, but you never know. There could have been a little night time sneakin' around going on! LOL Well, I feel kinda dumb, not noticing the legs being the color they...
This sweet little cochin bantam is 6 weeks old believe it or not. It is soooo tiny and is not even as big as it looks because it is so fluffly. Any ideas on the color and gender? Sorry if the pictures are not that great. Thank you!
I don't know, but 8, 9 and 10 are soooo cute. I really needed something to make me smile and I just got it. They are about the cutest little things I have ever seen.
I have had my silkies for a little over six weeks. I thought they were 2-3 weeks old when I got them, but now I am thinking they were older. Any ideas on the sex and age of this one? I have 5 altogether, but could not get pictures of all of them yet.
Here they are right after I got them back...

Yeah, I do agree that the comb on yours is smaller than my little roo, but is bigger that the pullet-LOL. You know, when I really think about it I might change my opinion. His/her comb is really still yellow. Mine got red really early. So maybe yours is a pullet. These are the only...
I would guess roo, though I am no expert. Here is a picture of mine at almost 3 weeks old. As you can see by the pictures, they were taken on May 25th. Since then, it has really become obvious who is who. You should not have to wait much longer to have a better idea.

Thank you for your replies. Oh my goodness, I have way too many roosters.... Well since I have a pair, should I plan on hatching some more babies? What kind of temperment do these beauties have? I have read they are docile. Is that correct?

Ok, I can live with that. That would mean I have 3 polish roosters and one hen......kinda backwards of the way I would want it, but better than them all being roos!
Ok, so, I got two pullets from Orschelyn's (sp?) They are around 7 weeks old. Is it just me or did I get one roo? Or can they develop at different rates? Thank You!
Here is the suspect:
Here is the one I am pretty sure is a pullet:

No, I did not hatch them myself. I bought them as babies. I am crossing my fingers that I have a pair, though, so I can hatch some in the near future! I love these guys. They are so sweet and pretty. I hatched some RIR's that are about the same age and they are about the same size...
This little sweetie is about 6 or 7 weeks old. Any ideas on what color this is and what it will look like later on? They are starting to get some reddish/buff mixed in on them. Here are pictures from different stages of growth. Thank you!
These Polish chicks are about 7 weeks old. I got them out of the bantam bin at Orschelyn's (sp?) Any ideas on their gender yet? Thank you for your help!!! Really hoping at least one is a pullet because I already have 2 other big polish roosters!

So, if they have these dwarfing genes, how big will they actually get? Mine is really a good eater. He gets right in there with the bigger ones and takes his part. I kept him separated along with a few of his little friends for company for awhile to make sure he did eat enough. So...
