the apple cider vinegar goes down better if you take 2 tablespoons in 8 oz of water with a tsp of raw honey. It doesn't make it great, but it makes it palatable and you get used to it after awhile. I'm just reading Bragg's book now.
Also, are you sure you don't have sleep apnea? AR is one...
Well, you might smell skunk for 2 miles in the summer or maybe the spring, or fall...but in the frozen north here, the molecules don't get to dissapite that far and its very local. LOL.
It wasn't too bad today. it gets "refreshed" every once in awhile though. Ha
For over a week now.
We haven't lost any chickens or ducks in over a week either.
We had lost 5 to the cold before that, they weren't mauled or anything and nothing has been inside
their cages...but that skunk smell is disgusting!! I think they are hanging around, hoping the kids
don't secure...
We could never let our children cry themselves to sleep either. Of course I nursed all my kids....well over a year. and they ended up sleeping with us. I'm sure it saved two of them from dying at least once!!! I always knew immediately if something was wrong with them, by their breathing...

The last two years we had a hovabator. We hand turned 3 times a day. We had x's and o's on the eggs and also a piece of paper handy just to mark what time we did them so the girls would know if it had been done or not. Essentially, it came down to...turn at 6am (right when the girls got up)...
I was wondering the same thing, why are they so expensive? You are not guaranteed a bird when you buy an egg, so its really pricey for $10 an egg.
I looked at some of the hatcheries and they aren't that much, but they want too much of a minimum order aka....a $100 order, which is equally nuts...
we had 3 guinnes last year and my dh couldn't take the noise either. He said he couldn't even walk out in his yard without their noise, so, into the pot they went. They were delicious!!!!
