Would you recommend once or twice with injections? I gave them an injection around 4:30 pm today.

Wheezing and Gasping. Three chicks down out of Eleven!! HELP!!

The White Leghorn and the Rhode Island Red are both over a year. I had added the youngest chick with a nestmate (they are about two month or so old, I think) about three weeks ago from a feed store where I got the majority of my birds from when they were little. I just bought Tylon 50 and Vet Rx...

Wheezing and Gasping. Three chicks down out of Eleven!! HELP!!

I have no idea what's wrong with three of my girls. Two are gasping for breaths and whenever they breathe, it sounds like a rattle or multiple bubbles are popping. My White Leghorn is the worst. She hasn't been out of the roost all day and I'm worried I'll lose her today. She arches her neck...

What breed are these two chicks? I'm hoping Easter Eggers? :D

I got a couple of chicks about five weeks ago, and their reaching the age of 7 weeks. They have most of their adult feathers and I'm hoping someone out there can recognize what breed they are. They both have two pairs of sharp feathers in their tails, yet all the others feathers scream out that...

    laying eggs unknown, breed unknown

Okay!! Sorry, too me a while to get the right ages... Had to make a "sticky note" on my computer and count exactly how old they are. Before I list the ages or mention the coop, They do not draw blood on the youngest one (Tiger Lily), they just grab a hold of her feathers, hold her for a minute...

    laying eggs unknown, breed unknown

I'm just kinda nervous for the youngest one. She always get picked on once they're locked in. i think it's just because they're frustrated that they have to stay in, so they take it out on her. My dad says that another reason why they probably pick on her is because i give her the most attention...

    laying eggs unknown, breed unknown

They have access to the yard at all times unless it's pouring rain or even hailing. We haven't gotten snow yet, but we're prepared for that.. i think. I already checked the whole yard, even in the nocks and crannies that she only can fit in. I didn't find anything. I did find a dead bird that...

    laying eggs unknown, breed unknown

Yeah, i got a few people telling me in my other post that she might be a black Hamburg or a Rosecomb. She's at least two weeks older than the Big Onyx, so i was wondering what was going on. This is still my first year with chicks, so i don't know if she's slow to mature or not. It'll be even...

    laying eggs unknown, breed unknown

Yin, my Bantam chicken, is the only one that hasn't laid yet. She's about 32 weeks old and her comb and wattle suggests that she might be ready to lay. What do you guys say? She's the smaller chick with the white earlobes. Also, if you recognize what breed she is, that would be helpful if you...

Sick Pullet (with pics) -- Lethargic, droopy tail, and not eating or drinking much...

UPDATE (for the actually reason this thread was made..): I wasn't able to get the things recommended for Camellia (my red star), but I did keep her isolated and had her on strict layer's rations and fresh water everyday. She's gotten to the point where she's pushing our of the cage now, her...

Alright, I'll look for the medication as soon as possible. Can you get those medications at a local pet store?

I can find the medications somewhere hopefully. Do you know how much it will be for the tests to be done on the samples?

Sick Pullet (with pics) -- Lethargic, droopy tail, and not eating or drinking much...

I had them feed on medicated feed when they were chicks, which said on that package that it would prevent coccidiosis. I put some DE in their food about a month ago since i heard that it will help with de-worming. I haven't heard of Corid or histomoniasis and i'm not sure if i can take her to...

Sick Pullet (with pics) -- Lethargic, droopy tail, and not eating or drinking much...

My chick Camellia (about 8 or so months old) is sick, and I have no idea what's wrong with her :( She's been like this before, but it only lasted two days and then she got better again. But this time, it's been going on for much longer. She's very lethargic, she's not getting up to eat unless...

    Jersey Giant??

I thought the Australorps wouldbe the same size as the Red-Star :p that's why i was so unsure. I never know they were BIG birds. She's so big that she has trouble getting into the nesting boxes. We're going to cut the box a bigger hole so that she can fit just fine XD
