    ***update**** The non bearded I thought was a rooster is a hen, the bearded I thought was a hen, is a rooster( I think)6 months old now. No eggs, no crowing.

    Boy silkies are hard. This is a 6 week old that I was sure was a hen, I’m guessing rooster now lol. Still no crowing and still sits low like a hen, what do you think?

    I free range my chickens, copperheads and cotton mouth snakes are very venomous, they kill them, if they aren’t too big and the chickens are in groups. They gang up on them, which terrified me at first, but I’ve only lost 1 rooster in 10 years... to a dog.
