Okay, I have a Welsummer Rooster that I crossed with one of my americauna hens. My question is, what color of egg with their offsrping lay? Will they be olive eggers or just be a brown layer?
I got these two pullets/roos from a friend and they were supposed to be Americaunas (according to the feed store) but obviously they aren't. Can somebody please tell me what breed they are and if they are pullets or roos? They are about 2 months old.
Does anybody know where I can get some Grey Call Ducklings? I live in Oregon and don't want to pay TOO much for shipping. I don't know anyone near me that has them. Can anyone help??
Chick #1
Chick #2
Chick #3
I got these 3 free chicks with my BCM order from Pine Pride Hatchery. I haven't got a clue what breed they are. Any ideas??
Sorry about the poop, they weren't cooperating;)
Tell me about it....I went to the Big R feed store here locally, just to look for a gun safe and ended up with more chicks....
To top it all off, I didn't leave with anything else, just chicks:) Oh well! Makes me happy but yes, I would say I am a chicken addict! ZAZOUSE, what an awesome picture!
Okay, if I have a Marans/Barred Rock roo and cross it with a Splash Marans, will the chicks lay a decent dark egg?
The Marans/Barred Roo is from a Black Marans roo and a Barred Rock hen. Any advice??
I had a few like that out of my last hatch and they ended up dying. I tried everything to save them but they stayed very lethargic. Good luck. It sounds like you are doing all you can but sometimes it just isn't meant to be. That is what I have to tell myself anyway!
