Okay, I have a Welsummer Rooster that I crossed with one of my americauna hens. My question is, what color of egg with their offsrping lay? Will they be olive eggers or just be a brown layer?

Hi Ctayton!
They will be olive eggers......BUT....only the offspring with the peacomb will lay the olive or green egg. The offspring with the single comb have a very small chance, something like a 3% chance of laying an olive or green egg. That said, the offspring with the peacomb may not lay as dark of an olive egg as a Marans crossed olive egger...the lighter the brown egg layer used the lighter the green (olive) can be.

Thanks so much! This is what I thought! Great info, I appreciate your help! Have you ever crossed a white leghorn and welsummer?
