    Injectable Penicilin Dosage?

I'm reviving this post bc I am debating which antibiotic to buy for suspected staph infection in a chick. Both his legs are swollen/warm/slightly oozy and edema has set in. This happened very quickly almost overnight! I have Tylan but wondering if Baytril is a better option for staph. I'm...

Hey everyone, I have had radio silence for about a year on my end. I don't even think any of you remember me. That's ok... I'm near Atlanta with about 12 hens and a rooster. Does anyone know where I might find started pullets...I can't do chicks right now. Preferably vaccinated for Mareks and...

The school near me is also hatching muscovy and Welch harlequin ducks this week if anyone wants any. I'm in Atlanta, near Sandy springs for location reference.

So I have the chance to get a few chicks from a local school... Black copper Marans, splash Marans, Andalusian (sp?) and orpingtons. I thought I'd poll the group. I have 11 hens now, but none are the above mentioned breeds.

I brought them an EE roo last week. She said the standards go quick but the bantams can't quite find a home as quickly.

I'm in Atlanta near sandy springs. I love TC Country, I take all my roos there to rehome and got my last group of chicks from them, but had 2 roos in that group :/. I might go get more this spring since I inherited another coop. Thanks for the heads up

There is an exotic pet vet near North druid hills in Atlanta , called For Pets Sake, they are expensive but I have heard that they are much more experienced with birds. :) I would probably go there myself next time I needed a vet.

I have taken a chicken to that vet in Smyrna, I was very disappointed. I felt like the Dr really didn't know anything about chickens at all beyond typical animal biology. For me it was a waste of money, but that's just my experience. I read other reviews that were similar to my experience. I...

So what if she doesn't sit on them at night? Do they need to stay warm all day?

    YO GEORGIANS! :)

I have newbie questions.... How long after I remove my rooster will my hens lay fertile eggs? One hen is going broody and I thought I might let her sit on her eggs and see what happens. Am I foolish to think a chick could survive this way? I know many of you use incubators. I'm not really...

@CliffB hey there, do you organize this swap in McDonough? Can you give me details, time, location, how it works? Maybe you can send me a private message? I just need to re home my easter egger rooster, thought maybe I could bring him there.
