Injectable Penicilin Dosage?

What is the dosage and how long should I give it to them it? They have a staph infection in their feet according to the vet and I already washed their feet and changed their bedding. I just have yet to find out the dosage on the penicillin.
Ask the vet that you spoke with.

The vet told me all she could find was it for turkeys and not chickens. She said that the procaine could be bad for their hearts because they were so small.

What she said is very similar to what I have read, so personally, I wouldn't use it. You could also try Tylan or Baytril, but Baytril is banned for use in food animals, so you're not supposed to eat the eggs or meat of an animal that's been treated with it. Baytril is a prescription drug, but it's easy to get without one. Most feed stores sell Tylan.

I'm reviving this post bc I am debating which antibiotic to buy for suspected staph infection in a chick. Both his legs are swollen/warm/slightly oozy and edema has set in. This happened very quickly almost overnight! I have Tylan but wondering if Baytril is a better option for staph. I'm posting a pic of his little swollen legs. It breaks my heart. Never seen this before and I have a lot of chickens. I seriously can't determine what has caused this.

His legs look worse in person, this pic isn't super accurate

I recommend that you get bloodwork done and/or a scraping of tissue tested to find out exactly if it's staph. There are a few other diseases that resembles what the chick has, ie: Infectious Tenosynovitis, Mycoplasma Synoviae (MS) or maybe Articular Gout.
Treatments vary. However with tenosynovitis there is no treatment, it is viral arthritis.
