    TSC bantams

They are clean footed. The black one is pretty basic and looks like several breeds, but what the heck is the yellow one?

    The Duck Thread

We have 6 hens. 2 of them are bantams, and we feel sorry for the bantams, so we picked up 6 TSC variety bantam chicks this morning. I figured now was the time since we had the brooder set up for the ducks. Here is how I separated them.

Thanks for your information on the kid. He is back with his mom until weaning since we only have one. We will make plans to get a second goat by the time he returns.

    what breed bantams?

TSC in my area, CA, gets their chicks from a hatchery in NM. I googled it and I found privett hatchery. I would check their website to see which looks like yours. I'm doing the same for my 6 new bantams.

    Lets talk about goats!

I have a strange question. My wife has wanted a pet goat for a while, and I was out buying a rooster and the seller of the rooster had a bunch of goats. One had kids but she was supposedly a half/half goat sheep. The father was a boer goat. I picked up the kid and brought it home because my kids...

    The Duck Thread

I bought ten from efowl.com. They shipped from Metzer, I believe. eleven shipped, and three died. For some reason USPS took 3 days to make a 3 hour drive. efowl customer service was excellent! I got a refund/store credit on the dead birds.

New to the backyard chicken world - advice please!

you could try leaving the chickens in the coop for 24 hours. Some birds take a while to know where home is. My guineas had to be cooped up for weeks before they found home. They still try to negotiate with me about where home is.

Any Guinea Eggs in This Picture?

Thanks for the replies. Temperatures hovered around in the low 70s most of last month, so I was thinking the guineas started laying. I have such a variety of egg sizes that it is hard to determine which is chicken and which is guinea. my partridge Wyandotte and silver duckwing olde English game...

    The Duck Thread

I dove in head first with an order of 5 Pekins and 5 rouens. 4 females and 1 male each. My kids are going to love them. It's a great excuse to build a pond too.

Any Guinea Eggs in This Picture?

I have guineas, Rhode Island Reds, Delaware, American Game Hens, a Partridge Wyandotte, and an Olde English Game Hen. My eggs range in size, so I can't tell which may be guineas.

    Injured Guinea

I said misery because I could tell he was in pain. I made the mistake of leaving him in a coop with my injured Delaware hen while I went to the store to get disinfectant. By the time I got back, the hen had chewed him up so bad that he couldn't walk and his backbone was exposed. I had to put...

    Injured Guinea

My puppy got a hold of one of my guineas. It looks to have peeled some of the skin off the back and don't see any damage to the muscle, and it gets around fine. I am thinking that I will get some animal disinfectant and spray it on there. I've heard of this but I haven't used it before. Should I...
