I got them the day they hatched...on April 19th, 2010
2 weeks and 4 days old. out and about with Gavin.....then back in the house for more growing

I simply use a tea strainer with a handle. I keep the DE in a tupperware container along with the tea strainer. A few times a weeks I sprinkle the run and coop and it works great !

she kind of did the same thing tonight. She (he) was fighting over the roosting spot. She (he) always seems to want the space where another one already is roosting. She is turning bossy and mean in the evening. During the day she just distances herself from the other two.
thanks, I think your right. She is so different from the other two. I would think that maybe it was just the pecking order thing if not for the "crowing" every morning ! I am so new at this I am just not sure Thank you for the response,

Hi, I am from NW Ohio. Newbie here. I have 3 little hens, 6 weeks old today. Just moved them outside to their coop this weekend. This is their 3rd night outside and it is raining with thunder....but I have been out to check them several (or More times) and they are just out there...

Dreamed of having backyard chickens for a long time, finally took the plunge. My little girls are now 2 weeks old today. Coop in under contruction in the garage and chicks are growing fast ! Their names are Daffodil, Dandelion and Daisy. My grandsons just love to watch them and help care for...
