TOday, I had three pullets (about 12 weeks old) bleeding from their rectum. One had about a 2 inch tube of blood (I don't know if it is her intestine or not) but she is also very weak. Anybody know what this is, how serious and contagious it is and how to treat it?
Yea, I know that the SLs can have gold on their breasts (a lot in fact), but several of these have a lot of gold all over them including on their back. I don't think the one I got a pic of has as much on her back as some of the others. THese are from the hatchery as pullets and they guarantee...
I also have some that look to me like Black Sex Links but I didn't think SLs had gold on their backs like these...
And here she is taking flight...
Btw, all of these are suppose to be pullets.
What is a good site to look up pics of baby chicks to try to ID them?
Does anyone know of a site that might have different stages like 3 weeks old, etc?

Swtangel, thanks for the link. I too have given peelings of potatoes including sweet potatoes, bananas, apples, etc. for months with no adverse affect. Evidently, there is some reason to not give it though...maybe it cuts egg production as I have been told. Thanks again.
