This duckling hatched at 3am this morning but is still attached to everything via the umbilical cord. Should I cut it or let it dry up on its own and is there anything else I can do to help??
Hey y'all, need some advice (again)
I'm pretty sure a bunch of the egg goop that comes with hatching never really un attached from this duckling and now it’s dried up on his backside. Should I let it be and see if it falls off or treat it like pasty but and try removing it???
My main worry is...
I’m going ahead and adding a link to the new post I just made with some more questions on some yet to hatch duck eggs since I know multiple ppl have already seen this post. Check it out if you’ve got the time I could really use some more advice!

I have a duck in a similar situation to your second duck. Since the injury she’s been in our bathtub recovering. She’s set up in an way where she can always lay down and still have access to food and water. Over time she’s greatly improved. You could possibly try something like this to help the...
I have about 50 chickens and not more than 4 are the same breed. I enjoy the diversity in egg colors and like having no clue what my chicks are going to look like and getting some really interesting mixes.
The electrolytes are good. If she’s not drinking you can tilt her head into the water. If she’s not eating you can try giving her some egg yolk. Hopefully more will see your post and give you greater advice, good luck!
They all look female, but Easter egger? I wouldn’t be too sure. They definitely don’t look like typical Easter eggers, but they could be mixes. Mojito looks the most like an Easter egger in my opinion just b/c I have a half Easter egger who looks the same.
