    My most useful advice to get more eggs is to not Over love them. Wait till almost noon to let them out of the coop. Its oh so fun to interact with your friends but wait till they do Their Thing!

    Sitting around alot. had bad case of mites or lice. Dusted, my extremely cleaned coop.And my 7 chickens were dusted. Just one Chicken had the mites or lice to the extreme. Any homemade remedy to perk her up would be appreciated. leilani

    Yes it is the cookie tin deicer. The tapered light bulbs work fine. Then I just change the plastic ice cream tub every day, fresh water. :)

    douching a chicken

    Good news! My hen is frisky again. The epson salt soak in tall bucket really works. She loved it, just stood there. Must have felt really good on that raw red butt. Also sprayed Blu-tone antiseptic on neck and rear. 1 1/2 weeks and she has a new lease on life. Thank you, Leilani
