Help! Rabbit testicular injury **gross picture**

I wish I had read this sooner. I breed meat rabbits for my family's consumption, and I had all four of my bucks in one big cage to transport them a few months ago. Their was a fight during the transport and one had a quite serious looking testicle injury so I went ahead and processed him. Then...

Comment by 'Chopperholic78' in article 'Les Farms - The Barn of all BARNS!'

Beautiful! I'm stealing your basic layout to build my barn, but I'm going to build it out of pallets. I have to cut costs as much as possible, but I love your basic layout. I'll be adding rooms for other poultry and I'll document it for the website. Thanks again!

    New kid on the flock

I have the property to do that, it's more of a concept thing. She eats chickens from our friend's farm, but she doesn't see them every day. She doesn't care for them, so they are edible. I don't know, her mom is the same way.

    New kid on the flock

No, she's not a vegetarian, but she doesn't want to eat anybody she knows. By anybody, I mean any animals. She builds a relationship with them, then doesn't want to eat them when they are ready for that stage. She also doesn't eat fish at all. No seafood. I love seafood. We are really total...

    New kid on the flock

LOL, I like the idea of "not like work at all", but I'm kind of looking forward to it. I miss being on the farm now that I've been away from it. I used to hate having to take care of the animals. I really resented it. Why was I having to take care of the animals when I didn't get any benefit...

    Texas

Although I don't have any livestock yet, we are allowed to live with two Australian Kelpie mixes and three assorted cats. We have twenty acres, so there's just enough room for them to allow us a share. Our overarching goal is to have a nice little farmstead with goats, fowl, pigs, cows and MAYBE...

    Texas

Wow, this is a huge post. Allen Wranch, thank you for starting this state-specific board. I am in the little town of Rockdale, just down the road from Cameron and the ever-popular Ideal Poultry. I hope to find lots of useful information from my Central Texas brethren as a set out on this...

    New kid on the flock

Oh, and no, I don't have any poultry yet. I'm building a coop out of reclaimed materials, mostly pallet wood. I am hoping to have some poultry in the next month or so.

    New kid on the flock

My wife loves the country, she even wants to expand our garden and livestock. She doesn't, however, want to care for it. :) She wants a bunch of livestock "pets" and a garden that tends itself. It's a disconnect between reality and fantasy, I think. Hopefully, she gets past that and I can get...

    New kid on the flock

Yeah, my wife loves the country, but she's scared of everything in it, lol. She wants to get donkeys and some other animals, but she doesn't want to eat anything we raise, which is kind of a downer. She knows where her food comes from, but she doesn't want to "eat anything with a face."

    New kid on the flock

Good day to all who read this. I just signed up for the website and chose to introduce myself. I am a 40-year-old male who has been married to his wife for 14 years. We have a 20-acre Farmstead that we are just getting started. Well, I am. My wife doesn't care for anything involving the...
