WHY DON'T MY CHICKENS GO TO THEIR COOP AT NIGHT?

Are you sure nothing in the coop could be hurting them? Mites, critters ect? Or what I do when my youngsters do that is block them in the coop a couple nights atthe same time. They catch on. If they are a breed like sikies or cochins they might not like to go "up". I had that problem with...

    Humidity help

I have had alot of hits and misses with my hatching and I have found that kepping it around 60% then the last 3 days about 85%. If you can't get it high enough by just adding water to your trays then take a spray bottle w/warm water and lightly mist around your incubator, not the eggs though.

My Egg Hatching Journal~Chicks Due Today!~

Ok today is the day they shuld be hatching and so far no signs of life. When should I worry??? I had a temp drop the last couple days, about 96 and it took me awhile to get it back up there. It happened when I removed my turner. Will this slow me down or will it kill the embryos?

    Fixing Crooked Beak?

I have a pullet that has a crooked beak. The baby didn't have it when it was smaller and has seemed to grow making it worse. It is the bottom part of her jaw islonger than the top so that it can't line up properly. I know this is a common heriditary defect in silkies but since it hasn't...

THE HENS ARE AT IT AGAIN!! (Wounded Hen) -- GRAPHIC PICS!!

I'm just going to throw this in-I am no expert, but have heard that when you have a flock of all hens, one takes up the rooster part. Sometimes this causes (I've heard) extreme pecking. Good luck and make sure her wound is kept as clean as possible.
