    I purchased call duck eggs off eBay they arrived today, the mail carrier was nice enough to put them on the porch in the shade. I was told by the seller to wait 3 to 4 hours and they put them in the incubator. My husband has hatched out calls before but super nervous about these..... Suggestions ?

    From the brooder we put them in a smaller cage with a run and something for water, normally one of those plastic containers you store stuff in under your bed. They are perfect. Then when big enough they go in the a frame which we built from 2x 4s and chicken wire.. Should of used hard wire cloth...

    So I thought perhaps the girls needed a little privacy, so I added curtains, which I must admit I change for the seasons... And then I thought ... Doesn't every coop deserve a chandelier, so found one at the thrift store and hubby added solar lights... Perfect. And then I thought they should...

    we started out with chicken wire and an aviary net, learned that wasn't enough, coons just stick their hands through or climb up the sides and some how get through the net. Put on a metal roof and wrapped the coop in hardware cloth. So far nothing has gotten in. Added curtains for privacy in the...
