Oh ok.. these are my first set of chickens.. but also I live in Phoenix and although the temperature has changed we do still have more sunlight than most areas in the winter so I didn't really consider that a factor, but again what do I know 😆
well... idk, im hoping maybe they just both stopped laying bc of the weather & they did go through a molt... ill report back if i ever start seeing green eggs again.
Do you have just the one chicken or you mean you have 1 olive egger with other types? I have 2 olive Eggers in my group of 10 chickens and I was getting very green eggs left & right ... weird how neither is laying green anymore, at the same time.. unless they changed colors or they just stopped...
Well the only option is they both stopped laying eggs all together if the color can't change.. cuz they were both laying green since they started laying.. then I noticed a decrease in the amount of greens I was getting, then I had 0 greens
Hi
just curious if anyone has commentary on why my Olive eggers who always laid green eggs suddenly stopped laying green eggs about a month ago.. they are now a pale cream color / light tan... is it because its winter and they are maybe eating plants that have changed with the weather or might...
Hi, I think you must be right on the spangled Russian orloff (but weird how them being such a larfe breed that they were the smallest of all the chicks i got).. however I am confident that your other one is a Barnevelder 😅😅😅 (who'd take my word after all this confusion) that shop lady screwed me...
Yes, at first I thought that might not be best bc of the caffeine etc but then someone on here mentioned they may use chemicals to get rid of the caffeine in the coffee bedding that's sold for chickens so now I'm like well.. what's worse 😅 idk that they'd eat much of the grounds??
Ugh I have no clue.. the packaging says "all natural" but I suppose that means nothing these days 😅 if they write me back I'm going to ask them how they get it caffeine free just to see what they say
Yea, I know they used to do that but it'd prob take a ton of those little bags & I think the stuff they sell for chickens is special, not just straight up coffee grounds.. I know the chicken stuff has no caffeine etc 🤷♀️
Hi 👋
I'm new to this site & I'm new to chickens! I live in Glendale, Az... random but does anyone reading this know where I can buy coffee ground bedding???
