Arizona Chickens

Yea I'm sure it'll be a "no" but I really want to buy this stuff 😆
Do any of your relatives, friend's, or neighbors drink coffee that can save some of the used ground's for you? I know that I have to throw my died out ground's out in the yard, wasting them. I make 2 pot's of coffee over here a day, because my hubby and I don't like the same type of coffee.

@Directinfluence I was curious if there was a simple way to decaffeinate coffee and found that it's usually done with chemicals. " most prevalent is to soak them in a solvent – usually methylene chloride or ethyl acetate. Methylene chloride can be used as a paint stripper and a degreaser. " Guessing you already looked into that but sharing in case. Untreated grounds might be safer?

Ugh I have no clue.. the packaging says "all natural" but I suppose that means nothing these days 😅 if they write me back I'm going to ask them how they get it caffeine free just to see what they say

Yes, please do come back here and let us know what they tell you about that.

Hello, and welcome to our AZ. thread. I read awhile back that you might be able to go to places like Starbuck's and ask them to save their used coffee ground's for you to pickup.
Yes, at first I thought that might not be best bc of the caffeine etc but then someone on here mentioned they may use chemicals to get rid of the caffeine in the coffee bedding that's sold for chickens so now I'm like well.. what's worse 😅 idk that they'd eat much of the grounds??

I do not know for sure,,,,,,, but imagine most of the caffeine gets washed out of coffee grounds as it is brewed. The remaining trace may be just what chickens need.

You could always try a smaller amount to see, before you invest in a ton of it.
