You could try letting them sit in your hand? Baby ducks like to sit cupped in your hands (it makes them feel safe), but they don't like to feel restrained. What is the oldest ducks can imprint on you?
I have a duckling that I got right after she hatched she imprinted on me. She follows me everywhere, climbs up on my lap, and sits on me feet if I stand still.My little hen thinks I'm her mom and she cries for me when I leave. She is will leave her ducky friends the first chance she gets in... -

I don't know about in the water…I don't see how it would matter so long as they had clear water to wash in. The only thing that I would worry about is whether or not they were actually drinking the water with the electrolytes/vitamins in it. They might just opt for clear bath water and drink... -

Call Ducks - 7/16 Eggs are here early--more questions and concerns!
I feed my ducklings fresh food in the morning and (unmedicated) chick starter with a vitamin supplement on top in the afternoon. They also eat bugs and grass throughout the day. They are a lot of fun and I haven't found them to be anymore work than chickens…the only extra thing I do with them... -
