Thank you, all ok he/she is out and having the nite in the incubator to rest and recover before joining the other to crazies in the morning, had to help a little but just by breaking the shell a bit as he had no room.
Thank you, yes i took them out this morning, they are happy, this little one still in the egg has just reached up and broke a bit of shell so im happy we are on course, just hope he can manage it himself :-)
Ive got one goose left to pip and hes pipped the wrong end, ive noticed some blood on the membrane, hes got his beak visable and hes alive, he pipped around 25 hours ago, do you think hes bleeding inside egg or where the others knocked him and caught it, will he be ok ?
Been pipped now for 30+ hours they are poking beaks out and talking but not alot else, do i let them get on with it, they are Dewlap so bigger fowl, there is membrane just behind the heads but looks loose
Thank you for your reply, my only worry is opening the lid and harming them I don't want to shrink wrap them when weve got this far, two have holes but one i cant see
I have popped a tiny air hole in the pip in and out within seconds, he seems very vocal and wobbling around, fingers crossed it will be ok, other two jiggling around popping out bits of shell, just the waiting game now
My goose egg has pipped the wrong end i have others in that have pipped am i ok to quickly take him out and make air hole, will it hurt the others taking lid off ?
The most precious thing, i can hear them cherping in the egg two pipped last night and they have been busy all day, cant wait for them to make an appearance x
Chickens im a pro but geese first time so a little anxious dont want to loose any so ask to many questions, i think ive done to much reading up on it and its addled my brain, some leave it some put it up some mist some don't, it can send you mad wondering what to do for the best :-)
