Get some plastic ties and attach some wood 2 x 2's to the posts (1' lap). Have them stick up about about 1.5' above your fence.
Use some 1/2" ID Pvc pipe to make a top bar and attach to the wood sticks.
Just a quick and dirty faux fence on top of your existing fence.
Is the shed insulated? My 8×10 has insulated walls and 2" foam panels in the trusses. Allows for ventilation in the peaks, and has 3 windows. Solar fan to help draw out excess heat on hot days.
I run a heat plate and heat lamp to take the edge off the humidity and keep the water from freezing.
Yes more ventilation. If you have power nearby, install an outdoor rated fan to pull air out on one side of the coop. I have 3 windows and a solar fan on my coop.
Get rid of the pvc and chicken wire. Coons are stronger than heck.
I've caught Coons on my game camera snooping around and made...
Only 6' wood fence on the run? Coons can scale that easily. Heck, coyotes can get up and over fences easily.
I suggest armoring the inside of the fence with a heavy wire fencing (1" x 3") by 4' tall at least. Embed a foot into the ground for the diggers. Heavy bird netting over the entire...
Omlet is what I have. A bit spendy, but worth every penny. 2.5 years of use, still on same batteries. I love the feature that if a hen is sitting in the doorway and it closes on her (any slight pressure), it opens back up. I never had it happen except the straw got bunched up, preventing it...
Mine are currently in the garage, but moving them into their own coop this weekend. I'm fencing off part of the run so they can introduce themselves to the hens. I've done this for the past several years to minimize pecking-order fights.
