    5 out of 6 eggs have pipped, they cheep once in a while, but haven't started to zip. It this normal?

    was normal for my chicks. It took one about 16 hours to start to zip.

    Im not sure about most of your question but I thought you were supposed to take the turner out before lockdown? I thought I had read that somewhere ( though Im a complete newbie to this and just hatching my first eggs now) Hopefully someone can come along and answer your questions for you.

    I suck at candling.

    I had issues with candling and then decided it was my flashlight t hat was the issue. Hubby brought home one that was 130 lumens and I figured out if I candle from the big side I can see more. I am with you on googling to compare, but I am just learning . God luck

    On day 17, I have some eggs that look like this: and i have others that look like this: I am supposed to go into lockdown tomorrow night, will that hurt the less developed eggs? Or will it all work out some how?

    I had it plugged in for about 5 hours and set on the lowest setting and it would not get lower than 106. i don't have a water weasel it just worried me that the heater was messed up if it wont go lower than 106

    I just bought a second incubator (farm innovators pro) and plugged it in and even with it on its lowest setting the temp was 106 and climbing. This can not be right, right? I used about 6 thermometers lol because i wasn't believe the first 3, should i just take it back to the store or let it sit...

    Changing to still air for hatching

    I have two sets of eggs in forced air bator, one about a week behind the other. I would like to know what changes to temp and humidity I would need to make to use a still air gator for lockdown. Any help would be much appreciated :)

    question about twins

    Thanks for your reply. Have you seen any day 10ish candling pics of twins. I'm not even sure they are twins, though I am running on the assumption they are since they appear so full already *sigh* I'm so not ready for that lol
