How many days before you quit turning the eggs and go into lockdown. When am I suppose to candle?

I am pretty new to all of this but lockdown is supposed to start on day 18 and there are many opinions about candling. Some people do it every day after day 3 or 4, some pick once or twice to do it. I have seen a lot say they do it on day 7 or 10 and then before lockdown. I think candling is relative to when you decide to do it or when curiosity gets the better of you. HTH

I will just wait a little bit on the candling. I don't really want to mess with them to much. That just can't be good. I guess maybe I will candle half way through and then once again before going into lockdown. They way I don't leave in any bad eggs. :0)

I went to Meier and found a flashlight with 130 lumens. It allows me to actually leave them in bator and look at them.
