    Watery green poop?

I'm not entirely sure but with the others coming down w stool issues I'm almost sure there's some sort of intestinal issue so it's probably not his age. At this point I'd maybe try him on 1/2 dose plus some water w electrolytes or a lil sugar to pep him up. He'll fight it off better if his...

    Snakes

I have snakes where I live n keep relocating them as they steal eggs but I always thought chickens killed snakes. My hens just look at it, they won't go near it. Do I have chicken chickens or is this normal?

    Watery green poop?

Is his water intake the same as always? With the color being off and him being antisocial it sounds like maybe something intestinal. How long after deworming did it start?

    Limping hen- help

No, I'm in Ga so it hardly gets below freezing here but on the rare occasion it gets into the 20's I will put the heat lamp on in the coop for a bit at night. It has been really hot so they have a small plastic pool to stand in to cool off and I've been freezing lil bits of fruit w water in a...

    Limping hen- help

I'm not sure what bumble foot looks like but I did check her feet a few times and they look great, like the other hens. No sores, cuts, swelling or change in color. I only have 7 hens & they are very much our pets as well as a supply for fresh eggs so I really hate that she's not comfortable. I...

    Limping hen- help

I have a 1.5 yr old barred rock that started limping yesterday n has her tail end pointed down. She sits most of the day but is eating n drinking. She's still alert n is not egg bound as far as well can tell by feeling her vent area. Is baby aspirin safe and what could be the issue?

    Snakes

That's very interesting. I had no idea they even had venom if any sort. I generally see a snake a just let it be. Normally they aren't eating all my eggs tho and even then I did manage to get it into a 5 gal bucket n relocate it. I know I don't know enough about them so I just respect them n...

    Snakes

I'm not to sure what kind it was but I saw it several times and looked it up. The closest thing I saw when comparing color was a "common garter" but it did eat several ex large eggs. I actually prefere to have them around just for a natural pest control. I took several pics and videos of it but...

    *Buff Orpington Thread!*

I'm adding to my lil backyard flock. I have 1 RIR, 2 sex links and 2 barred rocks. All hens and all pets. We just love the eggs and I'm adding 2 more in late sept. I have heard a ton of great things about the buff Orpington breed. Are they as sweet n docile as they sound? I'm also wanting a...

    Snakes

I've also reinforced my coop several times so it must have come in the open coop door as I leave it open to the outside run

    Snakes

I did relocate it twice I don't dislike snakes, actually they are a very needed species n important to the ecosystem overall. The research I did said that garter snakes will eat eggs if other prey cannot be found. I just asked a simple question and certainly didn't expect anyone too assume that...

    Snakes

So I always thought chickens kill n eat snakes. I have 5 hens (all pets) and for wks now my eggs went from 5 a day to 2-3 a day. I found a 5ft snake that looked like a common garter n was able to shoo it away w a rather large egg in its mouth. It came back so we had to dispatch it but my hens...
