Oh my goodness @bethbug74 looks just like Rider! If I didn't know better I'd think that was Rider! Seems like Enzo thinks he's a lap dog too?! haha Rider lovesss to sit on the couch and bed with us. haha
It is very possible that our chicken had a few "bites" of a poisoned rat (not from us, but from our neighbors .) For a couple maybe two days she has been lethargic compared to her little naughty self! Does anyone know what to do if they eat a poisoned rat or eat rat poison? Any help is...
Well Mr.Rider is all grown up.... well almost! He's almost two and has grown quite a bit after his first birthday... and is still growing, he weighs somewhere between 80-90lbs, and is about 24-25 inches tall, his head reaches about 30inches tall when he is standing up straight.... just higher...
So I've had my puppy, Finnick, for almost four weeks, and he has discovered this great thing called chicken poop. He eats it every chance he gets and it's just gross, when he is on the leash and tries to eat it I just say a no and quick tug on the leash, but I really don't want him eating it...
Hi, thanks for visiting my page. I reside in California, and have one ducks and five chickens.
We had two of our indian runner ducks, Didi and Dottey, since the summer of 2004, Dottey passed away in September 2010, and Didi passed away in November 2010. Dottey fell into an illness and passed...

I have a PrimosTruth Cam 35, it was $99 I think. It works great, I have caught a number of creatures looking the dark.. and light. It has an infared flash, and lists the temperature, time, and moon phase. It isn't to great on batteries, maybe two to three weeks of continual use, but the...
Hmm, I think a coyote is definitely a likely possibilty. I've never seen a fox by my house but that doesn't mean they aren't here just like I know there are mountain lions around even though I've never seen one by my house. I set the camera up again tonight and will check it tomorrow. Thanks...
I set up my game camera down by our creek to see what wanders around down there. I uploaded my pictures today and came across one that I have no clue what it is. The water is only a couple inches deep probably about 6 to 12 inches, and right were the object appears to be moving there are logs...
I lost one of my red sex links in July to what I believed was internal egg laying. She started acting lethargic and not her normal self about a month before she passed away, she then passed away on my birthday. Now her sister who is also a red-sex link from the same "batch" at the feed store...
I hope the contest is still going! I just found this thread. Here is a picture of our Blue Andalusian as a chick, don't remember how old:

Yep, they first start out in the house for about a month, or until most their baby fuzz is gone. Then they go to the garage, and then when I'm ready they go out to the coop. When the shed.... or loose all the baby fuzz it does make a mess! But that is what the vaccuum and broom are for right?!

Chicks 47, I padlock our coops such each night when they go to bed before dark, and raccoons are able to rip apart chicken wire, hardware cloth... I think that is what it's called. Is what really keeps them out. Sorry about your loss.
