herd there good reliable layers of blur or porcelain white eggs. about 280+ a year. leghorn x Araucana seems to be the mix used. herd only good things about them. they don't go broody apparently. and are small and cheap to feed for thr amount of eggs and size you get x
Sorry I should of said they are all new! From a large flock at the breeders. We took this one eyed of him because he was about to be culled the following week as he was adding nothing in terms of breeding. They all knew one another before hand
I just got a little call duck male with one eye. Beautiful bird and the kids favourite out of the bachelors pad. He finds many things hard tho.. seems to knock into the others and then gets a pecking for it.
He also navigates worse but I'm hoping with time he will settle in. He gets extra care...

Wow... I feel for you. You defo got a telling off. I'd do as others have said check everything with a fine tooth comb and make sure everything is in order. I'd of put cctv on the place and seen how into was getting in but as that's not a option I'd say maybe bait the place and see if anything...
I got a friend who is a carpenter to do the hen house designed it for 8 large chickens. Its pretty big has 6 nest boxes etc. Was hoping to get 6 2 polish 2 silkies and 2 legbars but wasn't to sure how the legbars would be with the silkies and polish girls as I herd they get bullied fairly easy x
aww I've herd of the farm.. I'm essex based just about to get some silkies and polishes. I've built a run around 16m2 with a hen house that's designed for 8 birds... how many in a design that size do you think would fit happy and comfortable x
