    6 weeks old and started crowing this morning! Although he has the stance and attitude of a cockrell he has minimal comb or waddles! Anyone else with chicks this age? Wondering how similar they look as far as looking like a hen or cockrell.

    No! I can't have that many cockerels! Not allowed in my town. I was thinking I only had 3 roos. There are 3 that are very obviously boys but the other questionable ones don't have waddles yet! I'm holding out hope for ones. Am I crazy? They are still only 4 weeks.

    I have a hen with a baseball sized air filled crop with a small amount of liquid in it. She also has light colored poop on her bum. Sour crop? I haven't had one yet! Her color is good but she's sitting inside of the coop all day :(

    I'm a people nurse. I'd use Keflex or Augmentin not sure what a chicken can have.

    I already sutured the vere large wound edges together. What antibiotics do you use for dog bites/large tissue injuries? The bites went across most of her back. The picture is of the last part we closed. Thanks
