    please help!!! there’s something wrong with my baby duck!!

    This duckling hatched about 24 hours ago and I’m not sure what’s wrong with her she’s chirping and seems okay but she’s curling up and thinks she’s still in the egg what can I do? I’ve posted about this asking for help but nobody seems to be answering and I don’t wanna lose her!

    What’s wrong with my duckling

    I had this duckling hatch 24 hours ago and she’s been curled up as if she is still in the egg can someone please tell me what I can do to help her I’ve already been putting bedadine and water on her navel to keep it moist so I can close and so it doesn’t get infected

    I know that I have the incubator at 99.6 and I’ve only been taking her out to but the treatment on her navel and to post the pictures but it was for a second my other ducklings that hatch fine go into the brooder as soon as there fluffy witch is around 91 and they were all fine

    It was absorbed when she hatched just a big open navel it’s gotten smaller now and is dried up but her eyes are barley open and she just lays there and opens and closes her beak and yawing but she has a happy little chirp

    You should really be getting the starter feed as well as the extra niacin to u can call stores and do curb side pick up if it’s still the lockdown

    The starter feed is the most important thing a duckling needs u should look on ordering some nutritional yeast or u can find something else with lots of niacin the neck is probably a issue from being weak from not getting enough niacin u can find some cheap on amazon or ur local drug store maybe...

    She’s doing good! Her belly is closing up and she’s chirping a lot more! She doesn’t have any hatch mates yet but there coming soon my broody duck lays one egg and sits on it right away so all the eggs are about 1 day apart in incubation

    There was a lot of poop inside the egg and on her navel so I made sure to clean it off before putting her back in the incubator
