I collect Trail of Painted Ponies, Willow Tree, scrapbooking stuff, yarn, fabric, craft anything stuff, books, animals, dust, junk, and whatever else I find. I really love my ponies and angels. I also collect change. Sometimes I lose it, or my kids find it and put it in their piggy banks, or I...
Well, I've found at least ten of them good homes. I printed off the info from feathersite and added a few things for people to get them started. I also made up little baggies of food to get them by until they can get their own. Then I went to the list of good foods and no-no's listed on this...
Ok. Where I live, our county has about 3,000 people and it's the third largest county in Texas. So that's a lot of room and not a lot of people. We don't have any kind of farmer's market, wish we did. I'm thinking of keeping 14 of the colored babies to go with the 6 I already have. So that will...
I don't think I would ship them. They are almost a week old now. I'm leaning towards selling about 20 and butchering 15 when the time comes. Do I need to have them on meat bird diet? This is definitely an adventure. My hubby is just as week as I am when it comes to little fuzzy butts. I have...
I'm thinking the same thing. The feed store guy was just going to throw them away. I just hope I can find people to actually take care of them. Should I type up some kind of care sheet?
Ok, so our local feed store had some of those colored Easter chicks and ducks. I was going to go just get a few, maybe 4 or 5. I ended up not making it over there. My hubby had to get a tire repaired there and when he went to pick up the truck the owner was leaving with a boxful of peepers in...
I received 13 eggs from Shay20 today. She did an awesome job packaging them and none of them were broken. Will put them in the bator in the morning after they have rested.

What is the next thing you feed ducks and geese after starter and when do you start? My local feed store doesn't carry anything for waterfowl. So what do I do next?
Just watch them, like everyone else is saying. Mine have enough room to get away from it during the day when our temps get up. Then they can get under it at night. Just watch how they act. The crazy weather doesn't help at all. Hot then cold. Think the cold is over, then another cold front comes...
I have been running my bator since Monday. Temps steady at 101 in a still air. I could turn it down a little if need be. Humidity staying around 50%. No eggs yet. Local PO hasn't received them yet.
I'm a little confused on hand turning. I'll buy a turner later when they go on sale!! It says...
I am planning to try and get some EEs. I told my mother-in-law today that I hope I have some laying by next Easter. Then I don't have to dye eggs, just boil them!! I don't really want the pure breeds, just some good, pretty, egg layers!! I wish I could take some off your hands!!
I'm in the country and here's what we are doing. Chicken wire on the run and hardware cloth on the coop openings and vents. They need the protection at night from the nocturnal animals. But our dogs will keep everything away, even at night.
