They think the mom might be a Blackmouth Cur/Shepard mix. The Cur makes me nervous...
They also has Great Pyrenese pups rescued that are almost ready- I'm great with the size but worried about...
I have been missing for a while. Crazy month of graduations, Eagle courts, mission preparation, senior trip, and on and on........
I got on today hoping maybe someone would know someone who could help me. I would like to adopt a lab puppy for my daughter. We are looking for a yellow lab...

Lisa I found this link, way down it has feeding info. I remember when I was little my mom making a mixture of baby rice cereal and scrmbled eggs for all the birds she raised and that would include any wild birds we brought home Just way trickier to...
These Girls/guys are 16 wks now. Can anyone tell for sure if I got a pullet or roos?
Is it still too early?
#2 is lighter weight and walks with a lifted tail a lot.
Some updated pictures of my 16wk olds. I am still at a loss at determining gender on these two.
Is it still too early?
Thanks!!
#2 Weighs considerably less and walks with a lifting tail a lot.

This is who I get them from locally, nice guy. Great price too!
I have a broody cochin
She has always been a nest hoarder, taking half the day in the nest to lay her egg each day.
The other girls would yell and yell at her to get OUT already! She only uses one nest and now it looks like she plans to take up permanent residence. sigh.
This little duckie is doing MUCH better Horray!! It is swimming like a champ and using that little foot really normally now. The niacin (and tons of attention) worked like magic :)
So....now what to do with it? Evidently it is a Mallard. Anybody want it???
Lisa, for some reason I became mesmerized by this melancholy dancing bird and just stared at it for like 7 minutes........it has been one of those days. You know it's time for bed when an animated dancing chicken can easily suck your soul through a laptop screen!
This is the chick I was worried about with "swollen cheeks", she is a FBCM so it has never had puffy cheecks before. They don't look as swollen today. Am I just seeing things?
Also, one of the perks of duckie rehab. You can do your school work while your duckie friend gets his...
Thanks for all of the help and suggestions!
It does seem to be using it it a bit more today, maybe the niacin is doing the trick. I have been having bad luck with keeping a boot on, coban slips right off. I was thinking about using bandaid tape. I am worried about hurting his skin on his foot...
My son rescued this duck from being trampled in his cow pasture. It was all alone and can't seem to use that left foot. The leg does seem to work though. I started niacin in it's water after reading a bit.
Should I tape the foot like a baby chick?
What kind of duck do you think it is?
Thank you!
Red, I had the same thing happen recently, really hurt my feelings. I was reprimanded rudely for something I meant to be a compliment but was taken very oddly- I like this thread so much. So so so much! Big hug to you from me!
Lisa, my garlic have popped right up!!! Thanks to all for the...
You are all wonderful to help so quickly! I will start reading all I can right away, but at least with the help from all of you I can give it some fresh food until I find some duck food.
He/she is so cute but will not be able to stay here sadly. The "cheeps' sound more like a nose whistle ;)
HELP!
My son rescued this teeny baby from being smooshed in his cow pasture. The bitty thing isn't using the one leg that's curled up under it.
Here is the thing, I have NO knowledge of duckies. We gave it water and scrambled egg which it scarffed down. It is in a little brooder. What now...
Sundance, so glad you got to go there on such a nice day! Fun that you got to also see my son's cows. The red momma is due anytime. You barely missed Joel too. He and a couple of the other FFA boys spent the day buying hay in Cache Valley and would've been there unloading it just after you left...
