We already have plans/bought supplies to make a couple new pens for the Seramas I got from Sundancen....now I'm going to have to make yet ANOTHER pen, if the hatch goes well. 28 days from the time I set the eggs....[/COLOR] [COLOR=800080]Anyone want to take a guess? I will ! Ok so you prefer bantams.....not into Polish anymore...not doing Wyandottes anymore....already have cochins and seramas and bantam ameraucanas and a lone d'uccle right? Hmmmmmm I still want to guess more seramas, in another color maybe? More D'Uccles? That is my guess. :/

i respect that. i have not shot one down yet but if i have to i will. i am a animal lover and birds are very special to me. that said i value some other birds more and if needed i will protect those birds. but killing is something i take very seriously and i will not do it unless i have to. that is so cool you were a falconer! i have always wanted to do that.

Kind of like if someone/thing went after my kids I'd take them down anyway I could, I expect (heh, even if it's a pretty magpie!). Falconry is way super intense and super awesome and there are times I seriously miss it. But it is also amazingly time consuming, and with 3 kids, I just don't have that much time. Besides, I don't expect my chickens would appreciate me slapping up a hawk mews next to their coop!

Interestingly, magpies and ravens will chase down hawks and falcon and harass them for ridiculous periods, just because they can. They have their own little world, those corvidae, which is probably how they made it into so many myths and legends.

Ugh. I seem to be waxing philosophical. Way too early in the morning for that. Beg pardon!

You have such a good memory! Yes, one lone d'uccle....I do have 6 d'uccle eggs in my bator right now, and just ordered some d'uccle chicks (my HUSBAND TOLD ME TO!!!) and I do like the Favorelles...but....guess again!

This is the chick I was worried about with "swollen cheeks", she is a FBCM so it has never had puffy cheecks before. They don't look as swollen today. Am I just seeing things?







Also, one of the perks of duckie rehab. You can do your school work while your duckie friend gets his exercise

His foot seems to be doing a bit better today, can't get a coban boot to stay on. Going to try bandaid next I guess.
