It is fully fenced. The chain link on the two sides is 4' and the privacy fence along the back is 6', I think. It keeps dogs out but it wouldn't deter a cat or anything nimble like that.

Hi all. The ladies are almost 6 weeks old. They've moved from their steralite brooder into a dog crate brooder, but still reside on our glassed in front porch. IT'S TIME FOR THEM TO GO!
The bigger they get, the bigger the mess gets. I'm probably 2 weeks out from finishing their big-girl house...
In 4 short weeks, I will have pretty, grown-up-looking girls just like you do!!!
Btw, I've seen that look in Dexter's eye before. He definitely has a different motive. Glad to hear he had his company manners on during the chicken outing! :-)

I wish i had some sage advice to offer you. Just wanted you to know that I'm pulling for the little ones. Hope another more experienced person can offer some helpful insight.

Don't sweat it. Mine did that too. It lasted for like a day. In hindsight, I'm not even sure they were eating it but rather just checking it out and playing with it. As long as they are eating their chick starter and drinking water, they'll be fine. Once you pull the paper towels (which I was so...
It's still very warm here so we decided to take the babies on their first outing for a little while today. Only one minor mishap. Our white EE discovered she could run through the fence to keep from being returned to the brooder. But I was prepared. I waited until I had another adult hanging out...
