    New Life After Death

    Over the past week we have had 2 losses in the coop, and today we have brought new life back. Meet May a 4 month old Barred Plymouth Rock pullet. In the photos she has just seen the other girls. (THEN THE FEATHERS FLEW)

    I would keep the majority of their food inside the enclosed run. That is because the grain and seed is protected from other birds (that you don't want to feed!).

    Indeed the factory breeders don't have the nicest looking birds. I went to an australorp specialist breeder that is local to me to get mine. :)

    Looking to add some ladies to our flock and i'm wondering what the best breeds would be for a flock of 6 or 7. I was thinking about orpington or Barred Rock, I already have 2 Australorps, so i'm not interested in getting any more. What else should I be looking at that I haven't heard about.
