oh, and I don't really know what the white chick is... I got the eggs from a local farm with all reddish/buff chickens. I was desperate to find some possibly fertile eggs I just got them and took my chances.
Funny thing is another hen sat on those eggs for nearly 3 weeks, then I cleaned the coop...
Natalie! I'm so excited with the Silkie (black lav split) I hatched from your eggs last spring. My lovely Daisy just became a mama!
Hope that photo works.
Just wanted to share some of my excitement and love for Daisy the Silkie!!
I'm getting stuff together now to come up to your place. I was lazy and bought chocolate chip cookies to bring.
Now I gotta get the kids out of bed, then go catch the chickies I'm bringing with me. I'm still debating bringing the Silkie... thinking I'll bring him/her for some in person...
Pictures!
the cochin, 6wks
Silkie, 6months
I'll be bringing a handful of these chicks, 4wks
And Shay, here's a pic of the Australorp I bought from you at the NEPC in Jan. (4 1/2 mo now)
My BO is my favorite hen... she has a very sweet temperament and is easy to handle... faithfully lays an egg nearly every day.
Good luck with your new little one.

Do you have a pic of the cochin, i can tell you if you have a boy or a girl.
now the girls do show combs too but not as red as the boys. and smaller than the boys.
the black silkie is a boy or girl?
I'll get new pics today and load 'em a bit later.
thanks!
I think the silkie is a boy.
How can you tell gender of a Cochin? I noticed you have some pullets and cockeral cochins, Shay. I have one 6wk old cochin (my first!) and have no idea what to look for.
I will be bringing a few 4wk old Cuckoo Marans, an EE, and a 6 mo. black Silkie.
For the pot luck, I will bring either...
