Evil neighbor! Need to find the flock a new home. PICS Added

IMO, it's really not worth the hassle of acting childish and getting a louder roo or barking dogs or being otherwise vindictive. I have several roos, and I KNOW that they can be loud and annoying. I don't have any close neighbors though, so they don't bother anyone but me. I have heard them crow at all hours of the day AND night (like 1AM). IMO, it'd be neighborly to rehome the roo(s) and get a few more hens. After all, if you had a neighbor with an annoying dog who barked at all hours of the day, and you asked them to do something about it, you wouldn't want them to get MORE dogs, would you?

Rehome the roos and send a plate of fried chicken over to your #*(%$#% neighbor with a note reading "I HOPE YOU ARE HAPPY".
Then get some more hens.

Honestly, if the chickens are legal, no one else has a problem and the rooster crows minimally anyhow then (following along with the passive aggressive theme above) I'd wonder if there wasn't something else really POing the neighbor.

There is no way I would EVER get rid of the animals I enjoy if I was within my right to have them. I, too have 2 nasty neighbors that are the meanest, most immature people I have ever encountered. I have a rooster, turkeys and a goose that make noise on a regular basis. BUT, there are no covenants or laws that state that I cannot have them. I am a very sensitive person and it bothers me that they are so bothered by my animals, but I will never get rid of them. If I were illegal, I would. You just have to toughen your skin alittle and maybe tell them, in no uncertain terms, you have every right to have them and they need to get over it.

We were going to get rid of our roo.Someone called the humane society about crowing in the morning( he's in the house in a windowless room until 10! and the fact they claimed he lived in garbage can, we did have on in the run but it was for laying eggs and extra rain shelter we have taken it out now so no one would think that lol! but IDK now, we are being harassed by the lady 2 doors down. This morning when I was cleaning my front porch rabbit hutch my son was giving me a hard time even tried to get under it when I was moving it( it's huge would hurt a bit if it fell on his head!) so I yelled at him to go outside, yes nI yelled but so what! The lady actually came to my front yard to hear/see what was going on then ran into the house to call the cops, the cops show up and were discussing in our driveway how stupid the call was. When they arrived they found dh outside watching the kids, the kids happy and me inside cleaning!

Well let me venture some options.

You could press the issue that chickens are legal. Showing them a copy of the ordinance that says so.
You could get rid of the roosters or one of them.
You could enlist the help of neighbors who like the chickens and the crowing. Get them to sign a petition.
You could press the issue that chickens are legal, have a copy of the ordinance, get rid of one of the roosters, get a petition from the neighbors who like the chickens and go to court.

You could get a copy of the NYC ordinance that allows chickens and take that to court also.

Or you could feel sorry for yourself and get rid of the chickens with out a fight and spend the rest of your life whining about those mean neighbors.

SOME TIMES YOU GOTTA FIGHT!

Sorry I just get sick of the rights of the few winning over the rights of the many.
