She stays in one spot for a very long time. She's in a spot I can't get to her, but she will hardly move. She can walk. I came home and she has been in the same spot, standing for around 3 hours. I was trying to get to her, and she did move away from me. Then she laid down on the ground. It's weird
Thanks, I'm at work Today. I went out early this morning and made sure water and food were easy to get to. It was day light out and she would move a little and just stand there for a while. Then move, and stand there for awhile. She probably only moved to three different places this morning in...
All of my chickens are in one pen most of the time. I have a large run for them that I let them out most days while Ivan at work. Today I let them out in the back yard for a few hours and noticed one didn't come out. I walked over to her and she let me get kind of close But ran from me once I...
It doesn't hurt that bad if you get got really. More "scary" than anything. I have to go thru this with my roo every few months when he forgets I'm the big roo in the yard, lol. But I can grab him at night and walk around with him. I'd say wait for him to settle in for awhile and see if you can...
Im not saying there cant be any here. But I have lived here all my life and I've never seen or heard of having any around here. Never heard of anybody complaining about them or killing one. Never caught one on a trail cam. never seen them here
I don't believe we have weasels or minks in southern Ga. I've never seen one or heard anyone talk about them. The first one that was killed got consumed in the run
I left it out the next day and put a trail camera on it. Late that night a possum moved it around some then left it alone. The next...
It's just like the last time. Most of the body was still there. A lot of the feathers pulled out. The head was gone. And something came back the next day and got into it again. The first time I put a trail camera out and 2 hawks landed the next day and fed off it firat, then a buzzard, then a...
It seems fairly tough. The ground is pretty rough and I was pulling on it when it was snagging on things. No tears. Who knows. I don't have any huge hawks. But I'm hoping this will deter them. We will see.

A few weeks ago I am pretty sure a hawk got one of my hens. I bought some poultry netting and figured I would cover the run. I've most of it covered. Now I'm just hoping I don't find an owl or anything tangled up in it.
Firestomp, yeah that really stinks. I'm pretty sure that one of the two birds are the original killers in my situation as well. I am not sure if they are the same type of hawk I have not looked into that. I plan on fortifying my PIN to keep the hawks out instead of killing the hawk
These are a couple of the pictures I got from my trail camera. I did have a possum that came in that night and ate on the body and a buzzard. But I think it was one of these two that did they kill
I sat my trail cam up and saw a possum that night eat on it but then the next day the two hawks landed and started tearing it up. I figured they might have did some the day before then came back the next day. Also had a buzzard land and eat on it. Then the possum came back again the second...
