Problem is our cell phone/internet connection here at the farm leaves much to be desired. Greatly appreciate your time...

at his age best guess would be a retained yolk sac. Have you notice Wheezy chirping, ( put him up to your ears and listen closely ) dull dry feathers, fat/tight distended belly at all , skinnier shriveled up legs more that the others, swelling of inner eye lids... gummy eyes at all ? Does...

    Never Fertilized

maybe they got x-rayed along the way or just simply suffered from rough handling during shipping IE: got scrambeld. ( the above could result in the eggs appearing to not being fertile ) It's a risk we ALL take with shipped eggs.

    Emu incubation

they take a lot of time , patience and monitoring for sure. Think of it all like this: # 1 you have to have , of course, fertile eggs to start off with. #2. proper weight loss...on a daily basis... to have a successful hatch, this goes for all eggs from any kind of bird. Weighing your eggs...

    Sick Chicken

    # 1 I see an overgrown top beak...makes it hard for her to eat, you can clip that back with toenail or dog nail clippers to where it lines up with the bottom beak like it SHOULD be. # 2 have you ever de-wormed her? #3 ( I agree with Purelychicks here ) get her on some vitamins and...

Avian influenza found in South Carolina

I didn't mean POLICE dept. " literally", I meant the ag. depts/feds. ....to "police" something is a loose term for being watched by an enforcing entity is all. Our birds we sell are not of commercial value and wouldn't affect any " shortages", they're just highly sought after yard...
