they take a lot of time , patience and monitoring for sure.
Think of it all like this:
# 1  you have to have , of course, fertile eggs to start off with.
#2.  proper weight loss...on a daily basis... to have a successful hatch, this goes for all eggs from any kind of bird.  Weighing your eggs will tell you what your humidity/temps. need to be.
With all eggs I find they want to lose too much weight in the 1st and last weeks, reason for upping humidity  during those time but ...with that being said...you HAVE to monitor the weight losses and adjust your temp. and/or humidity  accordingly.
#3 . Proper turning is very important .
I have GQF sportsman incubators that turn   45 degrees every 3 hours...I give EXTRA 180 degrees turns to the eggs... in addition to that ...2x a day.
Lockdown, per se,  is not  always good.
IF you shut down the vents/didn't open the bator/hatcher much during " lockdown" you  seriously risked losing them due to suffocation but hey..you did good on the second batch !
