i have a few chicks with pastey butt is it an illness and what can i do to stop it and do i need to pick it off? some of its hard should i moisten it to get it off?
i have a week old chick that has been doing GREAT i had it in with the rest of my chicks that were from a week to two and half weeks old and it did fine, two days after we seperated the older chicks its started acting very sleepy it just sits there when i try to make it walk or move around it...
the person i got the egg from has a nice set up not near fields that pesticides would be sprayed and they were hard core clean with their chickens... enviroment is a very interesting thought i didnt know it would effect a chick that wasnt hatched in that enviroment but LAYED into that enviroment
that happened to my main big daddy roo when he was a chick he broke off about a quarter of his beak he didnt seem to notice it was missing himself lol his grew bsack and now hes all grown up struttin for tha ladies
mine did that tonight when i put them in the tub to run and play ( they had cabinet liner to run on so no slipping) and it fell on its back flailed it freaked me out i picked her up and she was dead in 3 minutes flat.... i have NO IDEA what happened
