They do throw off a lot of dust and it is possible it is aggrevating your problem. Go find one of your paint stores and get the painting masks they have. Around 20 bucks at my auto paint store and came with extra filter pads. Nothing gets through those babies because they are rated for fumes. -

I just had 72 out of 96 hatch in my hovabator at 23% humidity. So go figure. -

Interesting article, since I have eggs up the kazoo, I might try a few batches that way. We have an extremely dry climate up here on the east side of the Cascades but I think I can control it in our hatching room. -

I think the rule of thumb is 99 degree's at hatch and drop 5 degree's weekly, so your bird temps should be 84 degree's. Unless I'm counting my fingers wrong. -

I agree on that one. I had them in the Sterlite walmart containers it's about 18"x24", started at 50 in each one, got crowded quick. Went down to 40 around week one, 30 week two and 20 at week three. Next week I'll go down to 15 in each till they go outside. You can kinda tell, it just looks... -
