My bantam cochin, who is sitting on eggs, woke up this morning with a full crop. I am really worried. I love her so much! She did not eat much today, but drank and dustbathed on one of her breaks. She was as feisty as ever, but her crop never went down. Suggestions??????
Thanks for the advice, but her crop has had food in it all day since yesterday and I am concerned she has something wrong with her. I was wondering if being broody was making this worse?
Hi everyone! I finally let my bantam cochin sit on eggs. She has been broody several times, but never had fertile eggs.
She has been sitting for approximately a week. This morning I took her off of her nest to put her out to eat, drink, and stretch her legs, and her crop had food in it...

MArtha Stewart is full of beans. She also used to think that blue or green eggs were the bomb. Trendy. They all taste the same to me. They are really pretty in your egg basket, though.
I have a beautiful girl who lays eggs that color!! My friends all ask for her eggs in their cartons. I only get one a day, so it is hard to part with them. lol. I was surprised it was her laying them because she looks so much like a White Brahma. But I have actually seen her lay those...
