    duck with possible dislocated hip

If anyone could give me advice I would really appreciate it. I can't find a vet willing to see a duck and fix a dislocation. The vet I worked for has even called several of his contacts and we haven't had any luck.

    duck with possible dislocated hip

I will start off by saying I have a little knowledge about animal medical care, I have been a vet tech for a long time, but ducks and chickens I am totally clueless with LOL We went out of town Friday night and came home Sunday. While we were gone my dad came over to check on the chickens and...

    Adding smaller chicks to flock

Thanks! I knew there would be some pecking and fighting but they were relentless yesterday. I will put some more hiding spots and try one at a time. It scares me because the bantams are so much smaller than my big girls.

    Adding smaller chicks to flock

Hi I have 5 Bantam chicks (7 weeks) that I would like to introduce to my older (11-12 weeks) barred rocks and 3 ducks about the same age. I have done "see but don't touch" since we got the bantams when they were days old, and yesterday I tried to open the cage wide enough that the bantams could...

    Feeding Bantam chicks??

I have 5 bantam chicks. They are still tiny, only about 5-6 weeks old. I bought a 50 pound bag of feed because I also have 4 Barred Rock chickens, and 3 ducks that are older. My problem is that when I bought the bag I did not realize that it was pellets not crumbles. My bantams seem to be having...

I don't think my chick is what I thought it was.

Awesome! Thanks for all your help. I am really hoping I don't end up with all roosters. I have heard several people say that TS sells mostly bantam roosters in their straight run.

I don't think my chick is what I thought it was.

Until I bought my 5 bantams I had no idea how many different bantams breeds there were! I ended up with a frizzle and I am absolutely in love! I will be getting more for sure!

I don't think my chick is what I thought it was.

Would it be a safe guess its a hen, since it does not have the white that the roosters have?

I don't think my chick is what I thought it was.

Oh OK, maybe that's why I think it looks different. I just gotta wait till the feathers come in more. Thanks!

I don't think my chick is what I thought it was.

The ones I seen when I googled the breed they are more brown and have white necks... Maybe its still a Dark Brahma, I am just not familiar with the breed
