I purchased a few varieties of orpingtons recently from a lady. Chocolate, mottled, lavender, and what should be isabel. I was really excited as they are my fav variety! She has very pricey stock from some big names. She also had jubilee, tolbunt, silver laced, crele, and lemon cuckoo. They...
Hi! I just purchased a new incubator pretty much does everything for me was curious though, I was thinking of using my old LG still air as a hatcher would it be ok to move the eggs from a forced air incubator to a still air for hatching?
Thank you so much for the response! I've done as much research as possible have development so far so good I guess! I'm just going to keep a close eye on them come hatch day and keep my fingers crossed I'm hoping with this many eggs I should HOPEFULLY end up with a nice little flock these baby's...
I'm sorry to just jump on a thread but I just put 2 dozen call eggs in the incubator now I'm nervous I've hatched a few batches of chicks no real problems but from what I'm seeing calls are considered difficult?? Was hoping someone with some experience could throw me a few pointers to help these...
Hi! Sorry to just jump in on the thread but I just put 2 dozen call duck eggs in the bator and was hoping to get any advice to hatching these babies. I have hatched several batches of chickens but never ducks so I'm nervous! I really want these babies to GROW
No I found with my incubator the humidity would be ALL over the place which I contribute to my completely botched first attempt I also found the less i mess with them the better the results so that's what works for me so I'm going to stick with it lol
Nothing fancy at all just a little giant from tractor supply. It was a disaster my first try I thought I could order some cream leg bar and Swedish flower hen eggs off eBay lol but after a couple attempts with my own eggs and NOT adding water it works great for what I need it for
I am hoping to get one out of the eggs that are in the Bator now. I have one pullet that is your classic Mille coloration she isn't laying age yet which is why I'm considering hatching out some mixes from my two boys until next spring I can hatch out the real thing!
Yes they are! I got lucky just got done checking again all 8 are growing out of 8 I couldn't be happier I had only 1 hatch out from shipped eggs 3 months ago and she needed assistance so I'm really hoping this will make up for my failed attempt before! I got EXTREMELY lucky and was given these...
Oh my son and I were just admiring my Roos tail in the wind simply gorgeous! I think I'm going to just have to do a little experiment when my bator is free have 8 sf developing now!
Question has anyone bred crosses of these? While I wait on my pullers to mature I was thinking of hatching some eggs from my Roos and flock of different breeds of layers specifically has anyone bred to an Americana I bet that would be a pretty EE!!!
