More wicking beds and some cheap fancy metal beds from Amazon. Since they wont be wicking beds, I filled them with cardboard, shredded paper, bunch of logs, mulch and more mulch. I picked up 3- 3.6 cubic ' of Pro potting soil and a couple of bags of compost. Time to switch gears and get the...
That storm was wild. Yes, Nebraska is not for everyone... lol. Glad the creatures did okay and clean up is manageable for the humans. Most all stayed safe and just another day in paradise 😬👍
Planted a couple loofah next to the chicken run so they can climb the new fence and shade trellis.
Harvested some bok choy for my tofu/saimin breakfast. So ono.
Spread more mulch. Prayed for rain. Put out sprinklers the last 2 days.Going to raid my son's mango trees for the last of the...
My tomatoes will start producing again after the worst of the heat. I read that the pollin dries out with too much heat and humidity. After the heat passed, I had an established plant ready and able. I now like to let my plants over winter or over summer for a second season myself.
This is embarassing to write. I have been growing amaranth for years. This morning is the first time I actually cooked and ate it. It was awesome with eggs.
Enjoying a huge harvest of starfruit. Made starfruit jam for the first, second and third time. Also cleaned and froze 2 gallons of fruit...

Gorgeous photos!

Thanks @Wee Farmer Sarah ! Much appreciated ♡ Life has settled enough for me to get back into gardening. Isn't that dreamy?! Enjoying summer fruit and prepping for a fall garden. Just made some wicking containers. Like them so much going to make more. Hope springs eternal 😅 🥬🍅

Happy Thursday gang. I have been doing just the minimum chickening lately, so not much to mention about them on this end.
I did lose Nina (my blind adopted chicken) this morning. I saw that coming as she slowed and then just stopped eating all together this last week. I told myself when she...
I also wanted to give you a laughing emoji for the chicken math 😂😂😂😂. I hear ya! I read a post of mine from my first 6 months of chicken keeping stating I would never have more than 5 because they were a handful. Oh what fun!!!! ♡♡♡♡
Your new babies are truly stunning and I am super happy for...
